The dogs and I went for another training run at the Snow World steps this morning. Training? Yes, for
Tough Mudder...again.
This time we ran up the path and down via some mountain bike trails. Up 1/3 using the path, up 1/3 via frog jumping up the steps, down the trails. Up 2/3 via the steps and down via the trails. This time I made sure to stretch before, after and between rounds. Last week I could barely walk for a few days; I literally hobbled because I didn't stretch enough! Again, a good workout and the dogs love it there.

The dogs seemed to think my frog-jumping was silly and decided to just stand in my way. |

Tired pups! |
The sun that was supposed to be out today didn't show up but it was warmer than last week. I'm sure we'll do it several more times between now and 24 August.
Steps, paths, trails...take whatever path interests you over to Unknown Mami for more SIMC posts.
I hope you get in shape soon. We too have to prepare for our mountain walking this summer.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually in pretty good shape but the Mudder is a whole different ball game! I need some extra shape for that :)
DeleteI really enjoy taking my dogs on my photo hikes too. They seem to love the walks outdoors as much as I do.
ReplyDeleteI loved the dog diary today. I almost did the same today, featuring my German shepherd. Great work!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great path and good luck on tough mudder!
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute, kudos to you for getting them some great exercise. Tough Mudder, sounds exciting.
ReplyDeleteAt least you have great companions!
ReplyDeleteI gave you a shout out on Thursday -- http://www.astarinmyownuniverse.com/2013/04/12/travel-the-world-thursday-brunssum/
Have a great week!
:-)

Good for you!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could run and jump but my left knee has been hurting for a couple of months - but slowly...I hope it will get better one day, snif. No white flours, no sugars though...
Dogs are great way to get out!
Wow! What an intense workout! It's so awesome that you have the determination and willpower to do that Tough Mudder race. A friend of mine did it, and he said it was a lot of fun but a lot of hard work. Good luck, and I love the photos of your dogs.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are superstars!!!
